A full tour of the city takes about 90-120 minutes on two tours, and consists of four thematic lines.


1.Art-Nouveau Line  – Jugendstil  -Architectural line. (BLUE TOUR)

This line is made so that you can get acquainted with the Riga architectural modern (Jugendstil) in a short time as possible.

The facades of Riga houses were built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

What has survived to the present day (about 700) is a unique work of art and leads to the admiration of visitors to the city.

The architectural line is part of the “BLUE TOUR”, which starts from the Town Hall Square – (Stop A) and is offered approximately every 30 minutes in the summer season.

First stop is passenger port (Stop H).

If you arrived from Stockholm on the Tallink liner, you will find our bus to the right of the exit from the terminal.

You can buy a ticket from the bus driver for cash and a credit card.

On the same day, you can return to the maritime station to the departure “Tallink” on our bus from the Town Hall Square.

If you arrived in Riga on a cruise ship, then our buses will meet you directly at the exit from the customs zone of the sea terminal and return you there to the departure of your ship.

Further along the route you find yourself in the areas of decorative modern architecture and national romanticism.

The richness of fantasy in each facade – stone masks and mythical monsters!

19th century – the century of beauty and refined taste.

The famous Albert Street with its facades and the delightful talent of the architect Michael Eisenstein will not leave you indifferent. (reckless)?

The architecture of the Riga facades is included in the UNESCO list of architectural heritage.


2.  Moscow Forshtadt Line – Moscow suburb line. (BLUE TOUR)

Moscow Forstadt line  is interesting for its history. The History of the Jewish Ghetto.

And the main attraction is the Riga Central Market – the womb of Riga.

This is the largest covered market in Europe (Stop G).

Of course, right in front of you, you will see the famous Stalin skyscraper (residents of Riga call it “The House of the Farmer”).

There are only 8 such buildings in the world.

Perhaps you are lucky, you can climb the high-rise observation deck and enjoy the view of the roofs of Riga.

 


3. “Pardaugava” line GRAND TOUR

Pardaugava – left side of the river Daugava.

DAUGAVA is the national river of the Latvian people.

Acrossing the Stone Bridge, you will see the majestic panorama of the Old City – the “City of the Golden Cockerels”.

This panorama has not changed for 300 years and is the largest historical value of the city of Riga.

Who has not seen this panorama, has not been in Riga.

 


4. Boulevard Circle GRAND TOUR

Boulevard Circle – This is the center of the city –  a great value of the city.

It is the city boulevards with their fountains and colors that give such a famous charm and aesthetics of Riga life.

Of course there will be the “Monument of Freedom”, the Cathedral, the Opera building, the Powder Tower and much more inherited from the city’s history.

 


Having passed all our lines by bus, you will get acquainted with more than 80 sights of the city.

Buses have 11 main and 16 additional stops along the entire route for easy viewing of the selected place.
