Riga is known as the Art Nouveau capital of Northern Europe, and the best place to see this unique architectural style is the Art Nouveau Quarter. It is located in the new city centre, not far from Old Riga, and impresses with a variety of exquisite facades decorated with mythological figures, floral ornaments and fantastic creatures.

Riga’s Art Nouveau Quarter is a place where every street resembles an art gallery. If you love the architecture, aesthetics and atmosphere of the early 20th century, a stroll through this neighbourhood will be one of the most vivid experiences in Riga.

Next to the Freedom Monument, you can notice an unusual sculpture – a cute kitten. This is the Flow monument, one of the kindest and most touching art objects in the city. The kitty reminds us of the importance of enjoying the moment, relaxing and not rushing. Its name translates as ‘flow’, which symbolises peace and harmony with the world around us. In 2025, the Latvian animated film ‘Flow’ won the Academy Award for Best Animated Film. This was a historic event, as ‘Flow’ was the first Latvian film to be honoured with this prestigious award. Today, the animated film is known in almost all countries of the world and receives millions of enthusiastic comments and reviews. Our route passes by the Freedom Monument and has a stop in the immediate vicinity. Don’t forget to take a picture with the kitty and visit the famous Freedom Monument!

The „Vanšu”  bridge is one of the symbols of modern Riga. The bridge connects the right and left banks of the River Daugava, linking the historical centre with the Pārdaugava district. But the main thing worth climbing here for is the incredible panoramic view of Riga. From the bridge you can see the port of Riga, and beyond it the Baltic Sea, into which the Daugava flows only 15 kilometres away.

The Riga Nativity Cathedral is the largest Orthodox church in Latvia and one of the most impressive sights in Riga. It is located in the very centre of the city, on Brivibas Boulevard, not far from the Freedom Monument. This cathedral is not only an important religious centre, but also an architectural monument, which is worth a visit for every tourist interested in the history and culture of Riga.
